No save reset for Pac-Man 3DS – report

Namco follows Capcom's lead.

Pac-Man & Galaga Dimensions reportedly does not allow the deletion of save games.

A Namco Bandai representative told Wired there is no way to erase the game data.

Both Super Monkey Ball 3D and Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D do not allow users to delete their game saves.

Capcom pointing to The Mercenaries' high-score, arcade gameplay when explaining its decision, dismissing the suggestion it was an attempt to combat used game sales.

Wired reports Pac-Man does not have a high score table. "Once you set a new high score, it's written to the cartridge and all records of your previous high scores are gone forever," reads the article.

HMV does not accept The Mercenaries 3D for trade-in. It's not available to rent on Lovefilm, either.

Eurogamer has contacted Namco Bandai for comment.
