Earth Defense Force UK launch delayed

Namco Bandai recommends pre-ordering.

Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon's UK launch has been delayed by a week, Namco Bandai has confirmed to Eurogamer.

It now launches on 22nd July, having been down for release on 15th July.

"Apologies to all UK EDF fans of the slightly late launch in July," Namco Bandai UK PR and marketing boss Lee Kirton said on Twitter.

"Trust me that it's a great fun game for great price. And co-op!"

Insect Armageddon is the follow-up to cult shooter Earth Defense Force 2017.

PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon sees you protecting the streets of New Detroit from a fresh invasion of alien bugs.

As in its predecessor you can team up with a friend to terminate giant insects and reduce your home city to piles of smouldering rubble.

Speaking to Eurogamer, Kirton said Insect Armageddon will cost on average £24, and recommended fans pre-order to avoid disappointment when the game launches.

"We don't have a major ship in the UK so worth those that want a great action game pre-ordering," he said.
