Xenoblade dev making Wii U game

Monolith Soft hiring.

Xenoblade developer Monolith Soft is making a Wii U game.

It's after staff to work on a Wii U project, according to the developer's job solicitation page (translated by Andriasang).

Wii-exclusive role-playing game Xenoblade launches in Europe later this year. It has a Final Fantasy XII-style action battle system, but layered on top is manual character movement.

Xenoblade is set in a universe where two worlds called Bionis and Mechonis fight an endless war. You join the battle for Bionis to "repel the invasion of a terrifying mechanical army and uncover the secrets of a mystical sword called the Monado".

Xenoblade Chronicles, as it's called on these shores, features full English voice localisation, but also includes the original Japanese voice work with English subtitles.

The Wii U is due out next year.
