World of Tanks dev's World of Warplanes

To wing the hearts of gamers.

First came World of Tanks, now comes World of Warplanes, a new free-to-play game from Wargaming.net.

The press release suggests but doesn't specify an MMO. The World of Tanks team will develop.

World of Warplanes will span the 1930s through to the 1950s. Will you be the next Red Baron, the next Lord Flashheart?

World of Tanks is an MMO where your hero is a tank. You join friend-tanks and blow up other people-tanks. It's friendly war, and World of Tanks is doing very well, having trundled close to 3 million registered players already.

Eurogamer played World of Tanks last year and was thumbs-up impressed.

It's World of Tanks!
