Wireless steering wheel for Xbox 360

Haptic feedback! Rumble! Green bits!

A new wireless steering wheel is on the way for Xbox 360.

Well, they're calling it a wheel - it's more like a wireless u-bend, judging by the pics.

According to the press release it's "controlled intuitively" and features haptic feedback with rumble. There are also trigger buttons for gas and brake and "green bands of lights on each handle to provide visual cues when necessary".

The device will be compatible with all racing games out of the box, including Forza. However the small print reveals there will be "limited functionality in some games".

The Wireless Speed Wheel, as it's officially titled, is down for a worldwide launch in early October. There's no word on a European price yet but it'll cost $59.99 (around £35) in the US.
