There's a Ridge Racer game in development for PlayStation Vita, Namco Bandai has announced.

We're promised fast cars, corner drifting and good use of the Vita's "revolutionary features".

Namco Bandai, Sony and Cellius are all collaborating on Ridge Racer.

Specific game details and a date weren't forthcoming.

Ridger Racer, years ago, helped launch the original PSP. Namco Bandai's game was a showy example of what games on the handheld could look like.
