Sony Xperia Play HDMI out spotted

HDMI output could be coming to PlayStation-certified Sony Ericsson Xperia Play after photographs of the feature in action were posted on the internet.

"A couple of photos have been sent in showing the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play connected to a HDMI TV with the information being that the handset is connected via HDMI," reads the Unofficial Xperia Play blog.

"The photos seem pretty legit as does the source but, no further details were provided. So at the moment we're not sure if this is a Micro USB to HDMI cable or if it's a 'second generation' Xperia Play."

Eurogamer's Xperia Play review went live alongside the phone's UK launch last month.

It comes with some original PlayStation games that are exclusive to the Android-powered phone.
