Treyarch is welcoming PlayStation 3 users back to its servers with a double XP weekend for Call of Duty: Black Ops, starting tomorrow.

According to the developer's Facebook page, the promotion starts at 6.00pm (UK time) on Friday and runs all the way until 6.00pm on Tuesday.

A further cross-platform double XP weekend is also in the works for when the Escalation DLC gets a PlayStation 3 release, though no date has yet been announced.

PS3 online play went back online earlier this week after the 25 day-long PSN outage. The PlayStation Store is expected re-open its doors before the end of the month, possibly on the 24th.
