New Rune Factory to be localised

Tides of Destiny roll in on PS3, Wii.

The latest entry in the Rune Factory farming/RPG series is heading West, publisher Natsume has announced.

Titled Oceans in Japan, the PlayStation 3 and Wii release will go under the title of Tides of Destiny when it launches in the US later this year.

No European release has yet been confirmed. We've put in a query with usual UK franchise publisher Rising Star and will update if it admits to anything.

"We know our loyal fans have been patiently awaiting news of a North American release for Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny, so we are thrilled to announce that the latest entry in the fan-favorite series is on its way," Natsume CEO Hiro Maekawa told Siliconera.

"Featuring a vast region to explore, a wonderful cast of characters, and a huge variety of activities to enjoy, Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny is sure to make waves."

The last game in the long-running franchise to be released on these shores, Wii offering Rune Factory Frontier, harvested an 8/10 from Eurogamer back in 2008.
