Brink update hitting PS3 tonight

Look for Big Teams in public match settings.

Saturday's Brink update goes live for the PlayStation 3 version tonight, Bethesda has announced.

On Saturday developer Splash Damage released an update aimed at combating the lag some players have reported.

It alters the number of human players when matchmaking for campaign and most freeplay modes to eight total human players. It also allows those connecting to and hosting matches (particularly those with lower upstream bandwidth) to more reliably find and connect to quality hosts via the match-making process.

"With PSN back up, the configuration change for Brink is being rolled out tonight and will be available worldwide soon," Splash Damage said today.

"Want to know if you've gotten the update? Look for "Big Teams" in the public match settings."

Brink's first downloadable content will be offered free as a "thank you for supporting Brink and for your continued feedback". This DLC launches in June and offers additional maps and new content.
