Classic RPG Final Fantasy V is on its way to both PlayStation 3 and PSP via PlayStation Network, publisher Square Enix has announced.

The game originally came out on the SNES back in 1992, while a 1998 PSone take added new cutscenes - and it's that version you'll be playing.

A Game Boy Advance port popped up in 2006 too, winning an 8/10 from Eurogamer's Simon Parkin.

No release date or pricing has been pinned down, though Final Fantasy VII, VIII and IX are currently available from Sony's download service for 7.99 so expect it to be in that ballpark.
