New UK MotorStorm release date

Tsunami-delayed racer due next Thursday.

Sony has confirmed to Eurogamer the new MotorStorm: Apocalypse release date of next Thursday, 31st March.

The PS3 racing game was delayed following the earthquake and resulting tsunami that devastated Japan.

MotorStorm: Apocalypse stages races around an earthquake-ravaged cityscape based on San Francisco. Sony was "very conscious of the parallels" between the Evolution-developed game and the events in Japan and announced a last-minute MotorStorm: Apocalypse delay.

But all good things come to those who wait, and MotorStorm: Apocalypse is exactly that, commanding an 8/10 on Eurogamer.

"[MotorStorm: Apocalypse] may not be quite as refined as Blur or Split/Second, but is just as enjoyable, twice as loud, and much more serious about borrowing from contemporary action gaming than its rivals ever were," wrote Eurogamer reviewer Oli Welsh.
