Guild sign-up for The Old Republic is go

BioWare offers headstart for team-builders.

BioWare has launched a new web application that allows users to create, reserve and register a guild ahead of the release of its Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO.

According to the game's official site, the new Guild Headquarters lets you "search for an existing guild to join," or "create a new guild and begin recruiting members."

When the game launches later this year, you "may" be able to import your guild directly into the game "subject to availability and meeting certain criteria." An FAQ details what hoops need to be jumped through.

Every guild will gets its own mini-site on the game's main hub, complete with information about the guild, its recruitment status and its own public and private forums. It's also automatically entered into a searchable database making it easy for players to find an outfit that suits their needs.

Still no word on when the game might actually see the light of day, though latest estimates point towards a September release.
