Dissidia 012[duodecim] Final Fantasy will be released on 25th March in Europe, Square Enix has announced.

This is the oddly-named successor to PSP fighting game Dissidia Final Fantasy, which scooped 8/10 on Eurogamer. Broadly, these games offer all the well-known faces of Final Fantasy for a fight, against each other. There are even RPG elements sprinkled on top.

Dissidia 012[duodecim] adds characters Kain (FINAL FANTASY IV), Tifa (FINAL FANTASY VII), Laguna Loire (FINAL FANTASY VIII), Yuna (FINAL FANTASY X), Prishe (FINAL FANTASY XI), Vaan (FINAL FANTASY XII) and Lightning (FINAL FANTASY XIII).

There's also a new assist feature to provide characters with back-up during a battle, plus a new story to engross yourself in.

There will be a Legacy Edition of 012[duodecim] sold that offers new costumes for Tifa and Squall, plus six art prints and sleek white, arty packaging for the game. You'll also get a 50 per cent discount on the original Final Fantasy game from the PlayStation Store.

Dissidia yourself, a mate. Dissidia yourself, part of the family.
