Saints Row 3 due this Autumn
Volition "setting a new bar", says THQ.
Saints Row 3 will launch this Autumn, publisher THQ has confirmed.
CEO Brian Farrell made the announcement at an earnings call today, explaining, "In the Fall, we plan to launch the latest installment of our Saints Row franchise, which we view as a significant growth driver in fiscal 2012.
"Volition is setting a new bar for this outstanding franchise and we look forward to unveiling this game in the near future."
Pressed for a little more information on the latest entry in its sandbox franchise, Farrell replied, "I have been placed under a very tight gag order by our Saints Row team. Hang in there: you're going to love it."
The last game in the series, Saints Row 2, launched on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 back in October 2008, winning a glowing 9/10 endorsement from this very site.
