New Civ V DLC announced

Spaniards and Incans get stuck in.

A new DLC pack is on the way for PC strategy sequel Sid Meier's Civilization 5, publisher 2K Games has announced.

The Double Civilization and Scenario Pack: Spain and Inca will be available on 16th December and lets players rule the Spaniards as Isabella or the Incans as Pachacuti.

There's a brand new scenario too, set in the year 1492, where players have to set sail and discover a brave new world.

"To the courts of England, France, and Spain come intrepid explorers, anxious to voyage across the Atlantic in search of a western route to China and the Indies," reads 2K's description.

"Will they find a new trade route and uncover untold riches from the Asian shores? Or will they perhaps run aground on undiscovered lands along their way? Will native populations be receptive to the knowledge and trade prospects presented to them, or will they fight against the invaders of their homeland?

"What riches, fame, and opportunities await those who brave the unknown waters? What path will you choose? Who will prevail in the struggle for supremacy over this New World?"

US gamers will need to pay $7.49 for the privilege of finding out. A UK price hasn't been confirmed yet but we're on to 2K and will update when we hear back.

Sid Meier's Civilization V launched on PC back in September, winning an 8/10 from Eurogamer's Quintin Smith.
