Free Monday Night Combat DLC arrives

Chug Spunky Cola Special tomorrow.

Eccentric Xbox Live Arcade shooter Monday Night Combat is getting a fresh batch of DLC tomorrow, and it won't cost you a penny.

The free Spunky Cola Special DLC pack introduces two new arenas and a new game mode.

According to developer Uber Entertainment, the new Survivitol Arena is "small and deadly with two tiers of bot spawners to keep Pros on their toes!" It'll be playable in the game's new co-operative Super Sudden Death Blitz! mode.

The Spunky Cola Arena on the other hand, is for the game's competitive Crossfire mode. It's "a single lane arena that puts players into the action faster and guaranteeing more explosions, more shooting and more awesome!"

Pull on a pair of sunglasses, stuff some cotton wool in your ears and take a look at the new trailer below for more on how all this new stuff plays out.

The DLC also adds new items, patches various bugs and makes a few minor gameplay tweaks too. There's a full, exhaustive list of all the changes over on Uber Entertainment's site.

Monday Night Combat shoulder-barged its way on Xbox Live Arcade back in August, scoring a handsome 9/10 from Eurogamer's Simon Parkin.
