Gran Turismo 5 delayed again

In Europe "before Christmas", says Sony.

Update 2: The European PlayStation blog has tweeted that a new Gran Turismo 5 date will be confirmed "before the end of the month".

Update: Sony Europe has confirmed to Eurogamer that Gran Turismo 5 has been delayed in Europe, too.

Gran Turismo 5 will now be released here "before Christmas".

"We are sorry to say that Gran Turismo 5 will not be available on the previously announced release date of November 3rd, but the game will be released before Christmas," a statement read.

"We sincerely apologise to GT fans for the delay, however creator Kazunori Yamauchi and the team at Polyphony Digital want to make certain they are creating a racing experience of the highest quality.

"We are confident that this ambitious game will exceed expectations when it launches later this year. We'll have more information for you in the near future."

Original story: Sony has delayed Gran Turismo 5 again.

The racing game has been pushed back from a 2nd November US date. The US PlayStation blog assures us it will still arrive "this holiday season".

The Japanese release date has also been pushed back to "holiday 2010", according to a translation of the game's website.
