EA giving Dead Space Ignition for free

Pre-order Dead Space 2 to qualify.

EA will hand out downloadable prologue Dead Space Ignition free to anybody that pre-orders Dead Space 2.

You'll need to do so at GAME or Gamestation, where you'll be given a code to redeem online once you've pre-ordered.

Dead Space Ignition will arrive on Wednesday. You can also buy the standalone game for £4.99 on PSN, or 400 Microsoft Points on XBLA.

Ignition is a blend of comic-book and puzzle game - a kind of Choose Your Own Adventure but with man-eating aliens and space drama. There will be multiple outcomes, and the story - written by best-selling author Anthony Johnston - should help set the scene for Dead Space 2.

Dead Space 2 will be released on 28th January 2011.

Eurogamer's Tom Bramwell suited up for a look back in August.

Dead Space 2. Creepy.
