Half-Life 2 at E3

Five million years later

Valve has confirmed that Half-Life 2 will be on display at E3. And that's about it really. There's also talk of the game being due out by the end of the year (to mark the original's five-year anniversary), based on leaks at NVIDIA and elsewhere.

However we're wondering whether gamers actually care about Half-Life any more? Of course there will always be a place in our hearts for Gordon Freeman, but can Valve repeat their feat of magnificence after such a long period out of the limelight? Discuss.
