Warthog composes Looney Tunes for EA

Live action movie tie in

British developer Warthog is developing a game based on the forthcoming Looney Tunes live action movie from Warner Brothers, which will be co-published with Electronic Arts - the first deal of this kind for WB.

The decision to move to a co-publishing model with EA for this latest addition to the Looney Tunes franchise will see WB and EA co-ordinating marketing activities for the movie and the game. Looney Tunes had previously been a long-time part of Infogrames' line-up of properties.

"We have had much success with the straight licensing model for our interactive business," commented Warner Bros Consumer Products executive VP Mark Matheny, "and now we have taken our involvement in game production a layer deeper by being closer to the creative process that brings our brands to this important entertainment medium."

The film debuts in November 2003, with a UK release slated for February 2004.
