Hokum Pokum

Kevin Bezant of Razorworks, the company behind the "Enemy Engaged" series of helicopter sims, has described what goes into deciding on the scenarios and locations to be included in their games.

"With a helicopter sim the areas have to be interesting to fly around at low level so they need to be hilly but not too mountainous. You need a semi-plausible reason for there to be a conflict in the area with US and Russian backed opponents, and you need to avoid politically sensitive areas such as Bosnia. It was interesting that the situation in Taiwan flared up a bit around the launch of Comanche Hokum. We had been tracking the events happening there about a year earlier on www.abcnews.com and decided to use the scenario."
