THQ's Elite clone "X : Beyond The Frontier" is apparently spawning an add-on. Developers EgoSoft have posted a story on their site asking for people interested in writing "microquests" for the add-on to contact them.

The idea is that as well as the main (rather long winded) plot, you'll also be able to fly hundreds of smaller missions in any order during the game, giving you something to do other than just fly backwards and forwards across the galaxy.

Now all they need to do is improve the flight model, give the AI an overhaul, and fix the economy...
