Arma 2: Army of the Czech Republic DLC announced

Living it Prague.

Bohemia Interactive has announced a downloadable expansion called Army of the Czech Republic for Arma 2, due for release in Q3 this year.

You'll be able to bolster your Arma sandbox with a range of authentic Czech Army units and vehicles, including the L-159 Alca, Pandur II, and Dingo infantry mobility vehicle.

Fresh armaments include the locally produced CZ 805 BREN, CZ Scorpion EVO III and CZ 75 PHANTOM.

The single-player campaign will offer 15 new scenarios along with procedural template gameplay modes. You'll also travel to the sun-kissed summer-season terrains of Bystrica and Bukovina.

The baddies this time are war criminals like Colonel Miyovic, whose militia is looting and murdering civilians. You'll be sent in to restore order.

"We're very happy for the opportunity to bring this fantastic DLC, which focuses exclusively on our home army, the Army of the Czech Republic," Bohemia Interactive CEO Marek Spanel explained. "We want to use this opportunity to pay tribute to all those brave Czech soldiers who are risking their lives in service around the world."

Arma 2 recently hit the headlines due to successful zombie mod Day Z, which our own Quintin Smith described as possibly The Best Zombie Game Ever Made.
