Breaking with tradition, EA confirms no FIFA 21 demo

Sell you a dummy.

There won't be a demo of FIFA 21, EA has confirmed.

Breaking with years of tradition, the publisher said it won't release a demo so the development team can focus on the launch game.

"We aren't releasing a demo for FIFA 21," EA said in a tweet.

"Instead we've made the decision to focus our development team's time on delivering the best full game experience for current and next-gen consoles.

"We look forward to EA Play members jumping in 10 days from now and launching the game 9th Oct."

FIFA 21 has a few different release dates, depending on whether you subscribe to EA Play or not. Its street date is 9th October for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (via Origin and Steam). The Nintendo Switch Legacy Edition (a roster update for £38) also launches 9th October.

However, if you have a subscription to EA Play, you can trial the game from 1st October for 10 hours. This is the real game you get to trial, so progress carries over.

Meanwhile, the FIFA 21 Ultimate Edition comes with three days of early access, so that goes on sale 6th October. If you pre-order the Champions Edition, you also get three days of early access.

Oh, and let's not forget FIFA 21 is coming to Stadia, although we don't know when exactly.
