25th Anniversary Mario All-Stars dated

Hits Europe in December.

Wii game Super Mario All-Stars 25th Anniversary Edition will release in Europe on 3rd December, Nintendo's announced.

Why, Donkey Kong Country Returns will release on that day, too. 3rd December will from now on be known as Nintendo day.

All-Stars was a compilation of the first three Super Mario Bros. games for the NES. Nintendo announced its Japanese Wii launch a month ago to commemorate the plucky Italian plumber's 25th anniversary.

The disc includes Super Mario Bros. 1, 2 and 3 as they were released in the West, and also The Lost Levels, the original Japanese Super Mario Bros. 2.

You'll also get a special booklet detailing the history of gaming's favourite son, and a CD containing music from the series.
