I am not a really big fan of WoW but Blizzard still does very nice looking intros for their games. One thing bothers me though, how can something that looks so great in the video, and by great I mean dark, rough, brutal, look like something out of a Disney Cartoon ingame? It's just my opinion and I find it very sad, because WoW could have been appealing to me if they'd decided on a different look - but maybe that decision wouldn't have made WoW what it is today.

Movie will be live action as far as I know.

Shame. Blizz Cinematics have always been top drawer and a movie would be fab.

They make some awesome cinematics. I hope that one day, this game can look this good. I doubt WoW will be going anywhere anytime soon.

exactomundo. They needed a simple but expressive graphical style so the engine could be lo-spec enough to run on just about any middle of the road computer. That way you can get your hooks into the casual audience as an MMORPG. Well, that and making sure the game isn't overly complex at the start and such. But making sure as many people as possible can actually play a game, and still have it look good, is a good start to really bring in the masses.
