    Shame they didn't splurge on some new CG, instead of just featuring the old 'un.

    Yup..

    At first I loved the WoW style (in-game) but now the saturated colours are getting tired somehow.. Maybe its a lack of contrast really?

    Actually, I was just wittering about the cinematic intro, not the in-game bits.

    Don't worry though, it seems like there's currently a 1001 generic foreign MMORPGs being shipped in, all heavy with lush graphics and bugger all depth.

    more painfully long instances! more repetitive quests!

    I will of course course still be buying it :p Just hope the Caverns of Time battlegrounds are good.

    Yeah the graphics could do with an update ... I don't think there's anything wrong in particular with the "cartoony" style, more that the textures and models are all very low in detail.

    Looks old now.....Just started my first month on EQ2...blimey,looks soooo much better and seems to have a lot more depth...we shall see!

    well the 2.0 update which includes allot of those BC features has stiffed every serious player of the game, by invalidating all addons, worst theyve protected certain lua commands most importantly these two
    PROTECTED CastSpell(spellID, "bookType";)
    PROTECTED CastSpellByName("name"[, onSelf])
    which means the addons that use these commands have no way round with alternative commands and as such they will not get updated and be functional once more.
    As of patch 2.0, these and more functions have been restricted to Blizzard signed UI mods. which invalidates many previous addons designed to streamline the arduous user interface, these addons make epic level playing bearable. I think blizzard have just shot themselves in the foot here, my 60 char now feels like a level 20 to play now, the loss of access to lua means more mouse movement selecting and clicking for users, in MC it means wipes and possible RSI with the extra strain on user inputs.

    There is a new CG intro.
    It's not officially out yet though. Youtube has it, but they're trying to get rid of them all.
