This lushly produced trailer is presumably a montage of cutscenes rather than in-game footage, but we're assured that the production values for this 50-60 hour opus are equally high. All this and 2,000 metre tall enemies!

These pretty videos are all good, but I'd prefer to see some gameplay footage and first impressions. Good graphics does not a good game make.

Lose the music, other than that this should be one superb game going by Level 5's previous work, and one of the strongest reasons why I will end up getting a PS3 soon.

@Guitarwolf: for me this trailer did completely the opposite. Even though I like DragonQuest 8 a lot I thought this game a bit meh until now...

Still I'm not rushing out for a PS3 either until this game is out at least. Buying hardware on future promises never really works

Genius! Games like this are why I prefer the PS3 - utterly bonkers storyline, cheesy japanese balladry and fighting mechanics that look suspiciously like they've been nicked from power rangers!

Standard RPG look, dreadful and a thousand times dreadful Japanese sap-rock soundtrack.

Hey, I'm sure it'll be fun. All looks a bit Nintendo / Final Fantasy for my taste though. Bring on Assassin's Creed.

This looked naff. I so want to love Level-5 RPGs, but they can't write for shit. Entertaining game mechanics, mince story and characters. Not to judge prematurely but... meh.

Was it just me, or did this video feature a cameo from Rutger Hauer (sp?) about half way through...?

Oh, and not really my bag this... especially as they're just showing sub-anime cut-scenes

Might end up being OK mind, if you're a JRPG fan.
