Notice the whole "Early RvR" might explain a few things eh?

The models look good. But, I hope the animations and combat sounds are just temporary!

Why is it only ever orcs and dwarves that they put on promo stuff; why not the more interesting. relatively original armies like the Lizardmen? Presently it's boring AND generic.

Furthermore, where's the blood? And the point, also, really.

Couldn't agree more, I've had enough of the same old tough/stupid greenskins vs. noncey/deft elves vs. doughty/grumpy dwarves crap. Those 'stereotypes' have been ruthlessly exploited ever since goddamn Tolkein. I realise they're a massive part of the Warhammer universe but, as you point out, there are other options. The Lizardfolk, Slaan, Halflings etc etc are woefully underused but it would be so nice to see a developer really break from the norm and try to populate a gameworld without any of these tired cliches. Fantasy should be exactly that, not a cynical re-hashing of the dozens of damn near identical worlds which we've come to expect.

The final game is going to have:

Greenskins (Orcs and Goblins) vs Dwarves
Chaos vs Empire
Dark Elves vs High Elves

Skaven are slated as a possibility for the first expansion.

Big fat meh from me. I was kinda hoping they'd go for a grittier look to the game.

agreed, very cartoonish. I think after playing WoW all this time I may give it a miss, pity as I was hoping it would be a good alternative. Looks like I will have to keep looking for my next mmo.
