It would be a nice change, but going by this trailer you're running about beating people up and stealing cars like any other open world game, the fact he's an undercover cop is just an incidental detail.
Would like an open worlder where you're a cop and can work your way up the ranks, taking bribes or not, fighting crime by the book.

I've seen a lot of excellent films where you're not sure who's side the cop in deep cover is on. If someone could port that over to a game, it would be a hell of a lot more interesting than any morality system I've seen in a game yet. It'd be much more fun to explore that than the dark side of the force, or whether or not to harvest little girls.
Sadly, this doesn't look like the game to do it though.
