This visually stunning opening cinematic is clearly a healthy indicator for the game's likely graphical merit, but that has not been in doubt. What matters to many fans is gameplay, something with which movie tie-ins don't have a great track record.

Pfft, it's only a CGI trailer... I don't get the comment "is clearly a healthy indicator of the games likely graphical merit"? Unless it's referring to the artistic direction and style of the game. I'm excited... but I won't get in a tizzy until I see actual in game graphics and game play

Is it just me or can you hear the faint sound of Optimus Prime doing a voice over to introduce the story, only it's been dubbed out really badly??

Nice enough cinematic, just got to see it translate into gameplay.

And was it just me or did some of it look like the old Power Rangers 'Megazord' fight scenes.... ahhhhh, what terrible childhood rolemodels.

I think it's really stretching things to actually come out and say "It's Transformers". Yes, it's got the proper badges and stuff, but it's fundamentally not what I remember of Transformers at all. It's looking good, certainly, but it's not looking like Transformers.
