The first Witcher was one of the best RPGs ever.
In my opinion the most impressive element of the
first game was its clever non-linear evolution of the story.
The choices you made in the dialogues affected the
continuation of the plot in unpredictable manners.
In Witcher 2 bringing this choices to a new level of compexity and making you actually think, will make the second game a fantastic new experience. The graphics seem state of the art as well as the artistic presentation of the world. The music also is very atmospheric. Its also nice to hear that the combat system will be vastly improved.
I hope they just dont forget about the AI with clever opponenets to
battle as well as the AI of the crowd reactions. I would also like to see some advanced physics with destructable environmnets.
In other games you just kill kill kill, then some story and then again kill kill kill and the story continues. Battles and story are badly connected.
In Witcher 2 I think this two elelments will be intelligently bonded together not making the game predictable and repetetive.
For me the most anticipated RPG game to come.

I am worried that a proprietary engine might mean an incredibly buggy game at launch. Experience shows most games using a game built in-house by smaller companies are released in a poor state.

Then again, this is CD Projekt. They've re-released The Witcher in an incredibly polished state, and with some bonus content, as well. Hell, the latest patch removes the necessity to have the disk in the drive and brings more bonus content.

And this is looking incredibly good, so far. It might just pull a Mass Effect 2 and be better than the first.
