After Age of Conan, Funcom should expect a very fat slew of cynical and sceptical remarks coming their way regarding this game. It has the potential to be good - an MMO action/adventure - but will it?

Surprised me actually quite well done.. And im amazed that you can tell its "generic"ness from less than 1 minute of FMV, Erinan.

Games companies should hire you, show you 30 seconds of concept footage and then we would have original games all the time!

Well, it's just a CGI trailer anyway, nothing very exciting. No in-game footage, no gameplay hints, it only show briefly the setting.

Knowing Funcom, I doubt this'll be as good as it shows in this reveal trailor, and seeing that there were "Committed" to Age of Conan and seemed to have not bothered contributing to it anymore, I'll say the same stands for this.

I'm not going to hype it, but the concept sounds interesting to me. Like it was said in the preview, a lot will depend on the balance of accessibility and long-term appeal. We'll see...by the way, shouldn't Huxley be around the corner every now and then?

Not Aion in it's actual form, but I'd love to play a game in that setting. Same with this one.

I just don't have the time or the inclination to bother with MMOs but they have some pretty decents settings.

Note to all slavering monsters: attack protagonists BEFORE they turn around. The evil leer is easily administered once you've eviscerated them, and it's important to remember that it actually accomplishes nothing at all, so don't hang around once you've been spotted in order to do it again, even if you are defying gravity.

As a RPG and Buffy fan this really appeals.
And it needs to be an MMO if done right you'll really be able to build a character.
What really interests me is if it truly follows along the lines of Buffy (the devs have said it's one of their insperations) It should lead to a lot of smaller "guilds" rather then the 300+ people guilds you get on other MMOs

If it does what it says on the tin, then it could see an EVE style following, don't see it being mass market enough to dent WOW though.

I do like modern fantasy settings so the concept is interesting, but lot's of MMOs have interesting concepts but fail to build on them effectively.
