Pandemic's battlefront-esque take on Middle Earth is the latest in a long line of titles surreptitiously sidling up behind Peter Jackson's adaptation, band-wagon jumping shoes at the ready. This time though, you're at least given the chance to stuff it to the smug do-gooders of The Fellowship by playing as the bad guys.

Hmm. It will undoubtedly sell shit-loads, but I think unless it's got a fairly deep combat engine then it'll get very old, very fast, licence or no licence.
