Just want to say the Metal Gear Solid main theme is NOT by Harry Gregson Williams. That piece dates back to the first game, which Williams had nothing to do with. Don't know who it IS by though!

I think the first ever symphonic score to be recorded was the fantastic Heart of Darkness music by Bruce Broughton, but the games came out later than initially planned so according to the release date it might not be the first.
