E3 Week bonus show! We play Midway's spectacular John Woo-inspired action-shooter Stranglehold and make Ellie fire a shotgun in LA - all strictly in the name of professional research, of course.

A chinese Max Payne, but nothing wrong with that imo, looks like a good laugh to play.

Liked the way you could 'lean' out of the way of bullets in slow-mo and take on multiple opponents at once - colour me interested (which I really wasn't before!).

PS3, 360 and PC? Looks fun, but graphically very, very poor. Some of those animations are laughable. I thought it was a PS2 title.

That John Woo game seems very 'True Crime: Streets Of L.A.'

...and I hated that game.

Prove my assumption wrong, devs... it could just be the camera behaviour and the bullet time - so I'll wait and see.

Chuckled at the bullet-cam tho'!

hmmm seems a bit CoD2 the way his health doesn't go down
but i love the way he dives and doesn't roll... just scrapes his face along the ground.
looks ok
but its hardly a game that would make me go out and buy a console.

This kind of game should have a "directors mode" where you could see replays of your gun battles, free roam with a camera and make an action sequence.

That slide-over-tables stuff looks seriously bad, seeing this made me want to play max-san again :)

God, the in-game bits look like stepping back in time. Did someone say Max Payne with built-in on-the-rails animations that don't sync up with the controllable animations?

As good and fun as I think this game looks, I've gotta agree, was this really worth basing a Eurogamer TV episode around? Could you not have just made a feature on it, or featured it in the Episode 15?
