I hope it works for them. The FM series has been great, even though it can be the most bug filled, frustrating game out there but, perhaps thats part of the charm?

Goal for "Better than Halo" - Genius! :)

Miles Jacobson is pretty pissed up isnt he?

I love FM but I'm sorry, that GUI is simply terrible. Not exactly a welcoming look, even for those that consider themselves traditional FM players. For a game that presents so much information to the player you would do well to make it half decent :/ Newbies would surely run a mile on seeing this video.

Talking of Miles - you look wasted ))))

The back button (the little left pointing triangle) in the game is too hard to click. Bloody annoying when you miss it.

Err - completely sober. Had a chest infection, and was put on antibiotics the next morning, but had had nothing to drink apart from water!
  • ThePope #7 3 years ago

Sorry! Chest infection - not nice! Still it's OK to get pissed once in a while. Loving the game by the way. Very addictive and a theres a good community spirit on St. John.

Can you raise the issue about the back button, or shall I post it on an official forum somewhere? Is there a keyboard shortcut?

ThePope - the FML forums is the best place to report the issue if it's a problem for you.

And I certainly do get pissed once in a while - just not that night :)

Damn tempted by this! The only thing holding me back is I am genuinely worried about how much of my life I would waste to it. I'm already on season 2029/30 on fm 08, and this would be even more addictive.

CURSE YOU, SI.WHY WON'T YOU JUST LET US LIVE?!
  • galerian86 #11 3 years ago

The subscription is expensive. I don't know, why choose Live over the normal one?
  • ThePope #12 3 years ago

Depends if you want to sacrifice a little bit of depth for the thrill of playing against real people.

I also like the fact that the teams are fictional - even though the players aren't.

galerian86 : FML and it's big brother or older cousin FM09 are very different experiences.

If life has taken it's toll on you and you find that you are now lumbered with a wife, some kids, a hectic job ...then FML is probably for you. It takes away some of the intricacies of the main game and concentrates on 24/7 availability and 1 to 1 combat against "real" people. Log in and out whenever you like for as little or as long as you like.

Concerned that it might not be the game for you. give the boxed copy a go tomorrow. It comes complete with 4 months free.

Come join me in Game World Clough, played Beta and have been in since start. I thought EVE sucked my life away, at least I didnt go to bed wondering why my new signing is a dud.
