    Probably should have used a different Mic. They seem like they were frustratingly difficult to interview as they keep talking over each other... The company making scooby Doo probably offered an ultimatum "cover this or no exclusive important game for you!"... it seems kind of bizzare to have this as a feature and feel sorry for poor Johnny who had to feel the frustrating presence of Jedward in person.

    Well an act like Jedward is always going to be a bit divisive isn't it? What I've seen them say, sing or do, and their appearance all points to them being children's entertainers. That's fine, but they don't seem to want to confess to that, they seem to want to be seen as a credible pop act. Which, for anyone who knows of any other musical act with something to say about the human condition who aren't making the kind of money that these modern-era clowns are, is a sickening travesty.

    But they'll continue to appear on shows like Never Mind the Buzzcocks where their aspirations as a serious act get ripped to shreds as long as it pays the bills, the modern phenomenon of swapping dignity for fame, which is another good reason for our vitriol.

    ...And now there they are on the front page, and we are told not to watch if we don't like it by these sock accounts, which is like a man telling his wife not to look at the big poster of Keeley pinned up in the front room for a day, if she disapproves.     Ok, first of all they are not a children's act. They have a credible following in the UK and Ireland. In the UK their fans are older than in Ireland, with a substantial proportion being a cult following. If you're a music purist, then you're NEVER going to get them. But the thing about them is that they are different; they have proven to be inspirational to so many young people, especially with regard to bullying or 'standing out' and being different.

    They do not take themselves seriously, but they DO want to develop. And no one knows how this will happen in the future.

    They are 2 19 year old lads living their dream - they work non-stop, the only day off they have in the whole year Christmas Day. They have an amazing work ethic. They are super nice to their fans and go out of their way to meet them.

    They not only have toured (both in Ireland and the UK) but have also been sought after as models, having done photoshoots for prestigious photographers like Kai Z Feng. And it is in this area that they are taken VERY seriously.

    Above all, they are bloody good pure unadulterated fun, and god knows we all need that from time to time, especially in these grim financial times. I challenge any of you to go to one of their concerts and not come out with a smile on your face. I'm actually serious, ok?

    True, and they are recording original songs at the moment. But they aren't a manufactured band or personalities. They don't fit into any neat bracket or niche. There is ambivalence around them.

    well I used to play a lot of video games alone in my house. But now I fly to Ireland and travel all round the country going to Jedward concerts and meeting up with other Jedward fans, not touched a computer game in over a year. Planet Jedward has been that much fun to be honest! Even them sponsoring this couldn't tempt me back. I love those Jedward boys.     I don't want to be posting on here anymore, because no matter what you or I say you are not going to change the fact that they have a massive fan base, have done sold out tours in both Ireland and the UK and continue to be successful.
