Dont think i'll bother with bioshock 2 after being thoroughly bored with the overhyped/overrated first game.

No doubt the reviewers will all give it 10/10 again though.. I'm not falling for that again! I'll save my money and buy the new fallout game later in the year

    @smelly

    bioshock > fallout

    end of conversation
  • Yossarian #5 2 years ago

    Nah, Fallout > Fallout 2 > Bioshock

There were some other Fallout games, I believe, but they aren't really fit for comparison.
  • Ryboy #6 2 years ago

How are any of those games fit for comparison.

They are boring RPG's for starters.
  • chukcyQ #7 2 years ago

Aw darn the story is once again total BS... And the game's going to be just another linear shooter again? I can miss that...

Im not comparing Fallout and bioshock..

All im saying is that I *LOVED* the original system shock games, back in the day as a pc owner i was a REAL origin fanboy and would buy ANYTHING they made. So when i heard of bioshock, i bought an xbox (Against my better judgement) to play this game.. Afterall the other games made by these people.. well they were "GODS" in my book.

.. So I believed the hype.. i believed the 10/10 scores.. i bought a 360 to play it on.. (afterall i loved their earlier games!).. but was it any good? Was it bollocks.. I was an average shooter with a mildy interesting (for games*) story attached

The reason i mention fallout vegas.. is that it was mentioned this week.. And unlike this game.. i approached fallout 3 thinking i wouldnt like it. In fact for the first 2 hours or so - i thought it was shit! Then i "got it"... and it was the best game ever.. Bioshock was the EXACT opposite!

Feel free to negate me.. only sharing my opinion in that the orginal game wasnt worth a 10/10 score.

    * = i hightlight for games - as in any other medium, the story would be shit
  • Ryboy #9 2 years ago

"i thought it was shit! Then i "got it".."

You thought Bioshock was shit because you didn't get it?!

    Applause.
  • Ryboy #10 2 years ago

...oh and also, you bought a 360 to play on it?

There's your first mistake. Fucking console cretins do my head.
  • smithdown #11 2 years ago

@smelly - I kinda agree. Bioshock felt a bit lightweight as a shooter, underfed as an RPG and as for the story - I lost interest about halfway through. It was total claptrap, and having it told through scratchy audiologs was stupid, as often you'd be trying to listen while contending with a room full of splicers all screaming and you'd totally miss the point of what was said. The best thing about the game were the atmospherics and weird little areas you'd enter.
Despite all this though I have the sequel pre-orderd, purely because the limited edition was cheap on Zavvi and I can resell it!

not bad for a first timer Tom.

    Less hands though!

Does Dr Sophia Lamb also do those Marks and Spencer food adverts?

looks like they've mistakenly answered peoples criticisms of the 1st - too lightwieght as a shooter - and concentrated on that too much. Looking way too much like a tiresome gunfest to me, although I long to be proven wrong.....big fan of the first one..

    love the prisoner style blazer

Hmmmm one for when it goes budget for me this. There's way to many good games out/imminent for 360 and PS3.

This just seems like a full price expansion pack.
  • jidnffc #17 2 years ago

    Ryboy, get over yourself.
  • foamy #18 2 years ago

People who don't like bioshock obviously have been playing it like they play Quake. Which is sad, really. You're supposed to feel underpowered at the beggining. Although in the entire game I never needed more ammo than ghd one available looting.

Really good performance Tom! Almost if not better than Johnny. Bioshock 2 looks awesome but I'll read the review before making any concrete decisions.

"...oh and also, you bought a 360 to play on it? "

Why else would i buy a console, if not to play games on it? Because it'll look pretty in my living room?
  • Vroom #22 2 years ago

    Wheeeeeerees Johnny?
  • LowEnergyCycle #23 2 years ago

    Ryboy - a claw-handed mouth-breather?

Just a suggestion. Also, if you hate consoles so much, why do you own one? http://gamers.eurogamer.net/user_profile...

You had to edit that twice?! Yeah I did own one before I realised they are fucking shit. You cannot play FPS on a console.
  • mizcicz #25 2 years ago

please please please please stop that īyou canīt play shooters on a consoleī shit...this is so 90īs man...get over it. indeed you can. itīs a lot of fun to play shooters with a 360 pad and itīs fast and good- it sucks on ps3 but itīs still kind of working. i played a lot of shooters on the pc. today i really prefer the 360 for it.
  • Ryboy #26 2 years ago

    No, it's slow and boring.
  • headrush #27 2 years ago

Not interested. Doesnt look like a bad game, but not enough to stand out from the competition.
