    Awesomeness!!

The variety of gameplay options is astounding.

About the camera angles, they were changed to a more cinematic viewpoint, but it IS gameplay.

it's not coming out until late 2007, and already it looks awesome!
plus, the camouflage is totally cool.

do you think the first person shooting scenes are motion sensing controlled?

looks pretty much more of the same to me! and he looks a little hitleresque in places!

As with all MGS trailers, it looks fantastic... Can anyone confirm if they have dropped the Pacman viewpoint?

the music brings out a feeling of sadness

Can't see why you would need a PS3 to play this. I'm sure it would run well on a PC or a 360 :/

yeah, it would run well on pc/360, but it wont

Haven't actually watched the trailer yet, but I'd like to thank EG TV's tech guys for making the service available again to Linux-users like myself! :D

edit: Looks great, especially for a title that will still be well over a year in production. Maybe by that time it'll be clear why it could or won't run on 360. As for PC, I see no reason why anything (on 360 or PS3) wouldn't run on it. Except perhaps for the motion sensing controller.

cows are still moooing even some on the posters (in game). check out the 5th min. looking well regardless
  • penhalion #11 6 years ago

I may just hold out for the inevitable 360 version. If PS3 had come out first I would have got one. Sadly with age comes wisdom and I see nothing new here. When it changes to gameplay footage, it's the same ol' same ol' metal gear

Well I never played a MGS game before and it's a bit hard to see what all the fuzz is about.
I see good graphics, not better than GoW though.
I see a stealth game but thief was a stealth game too.
And then there are all these weird sequences where you can see the main character but the enemies don't.

I guess I'll have to play myself to see what the fuzz is about.
  • JediMasterMalik #13 6 years ago

I see a stealth game but thief was a stealth game too.

So you'd rather there only be a single stealth game ever?... yeh

Honestly though, you have to have played at least one of the previous titles to know what MGS has to offer, it's not something you can find on the internet. It's all about the actual experience.

"And then there are all these weird sequences where you can see the main character but the enemies don't."

Would be a bit awkward if camouflage was so good you couldn't see your caracter now would it?

    @ penhalion

So you don't like the game because to you it seems like nothing new compared to previous MGS games (guess you're blind) but if in the end it does get ported to 360, you might pick it up?!

There's not been many quality games for 360, but it's not that bad...

  • Saii #18 6 years ago

From the looks of the last tease of the video like Snake will age horrendously during the course of the game-story. Niice

I love the MGS series and found them all to be entertaining. This looks the bollocks and IMO this is one of the killer games for the PS3.

    I can't wait!
  • Tomo #20 6 years ago

I do love MGS trailers but one thing I can't stand is the useless phrases that pop up in every bloody one of them...

    "NO TIME TO DIE"
    "WE NO LIKE WAR"
    "NO PLACE LIKE HOME"
"IS THAT A SNAKE IN YOUR TROUSERS?!"
  • Shawnzee #21 6 years ago

Doesnt look as good as the e3 trailer.
  • theweaze #22 6 years ago

i think its a mask that can morph to any face rather than snake just aging.
  • t8yman #23 6 years ago

have you seen the walking animations on some of the models, I nearly fell off my chair laughing, they are skipping like bonnie langford.
  • andy06 #24 6 years ago

Looks visually fantastic and more of the same MGS action and trademark epic plot (I've only played 1 and 2, however), but the AI at around 2:05 - the second guy doesn't even respond to the initial pistol shot - and the later barrel scene is rather disappointing.

I loved the goolie tickler attack on the soldier by the little sidekick robot.
  • manic_mouse #27 6 years ago

Looks fantastic, there seems to be alot more scope than in previous Metal Gear games. It seems that Snake isn't old, or at least isn't old for the entire game which is good. He looked a little too much like Dick Van Dyke in Diagnosis murder for my liking. The stealth suit seems really cool!
  • squarepusher #28 6 years ago

    Meh.

I'll wait till it's on telly.

    "no war in time"
    "no time in war"
    "no snake for time"
    "no tea vicar?"
  • chronom4n #29 6 years ago

love the font! adds a level of class to the presentation like never before. also do real soldiers actually walk that fast?
