Best case scenario, they go for a game in the Sam & Max reboot mould.

Worst case scenario, they go for a game in the Jurassic Park mould.

Sadly, the very nature of The Walking Dead as a property would imply that they'll be looking in the latter direction.

Telltale can do one thing really good: Cartoon graphics. This is going to be the same shit as Jurassic Park. I can't believe they actually try to get those licenses instead of coming up with their own ideas. Relying on IPs is what made THQ what it is today. If you don't own your own IPs your company is pretty much done for when your game bombs. With original content you can at least sell those IPs or even the whole company.

I'm struggling after watching that, to remember any IP-related game which has done well, when it's presented a situation that you don't play as immediately recognisable characters from the property.
As well, I can count on one hand (and not much of the fingers on that) the number of movies in which there's been significant interest in the individual behind the zombie.

I know they probably developed alongside eachother for a long period of time. but damn that painting on the background sure reminds me of "The last of us"

Gosh, what a frightfully good looking young American the presenter is. I'd love to see Adlard (don't mention the comb-over) 'zombify' him.

Rick is a clean-shaven cop who is put into a coma by a shootout with a criminal who hid behind a car. He has a son who wears Rick's hat.

Lee is a mustachioed criminal who escapes from the police in a car crash. He has a little girl. Who has her own hat.

I'm hoping the rest of the writing is slightly less derivative.

Is this based on the comic or the series? If it's the comic then great. If it's the series then in the word of dragons den "Sorry, I'm out"
