He talks a good game.

I can't help thinking how hard it'll be to manage your units on such a large map.

And I'm assuming we'll need a supercomputer to run this properly.

I love how enthusiastic he seems, you can tell its really a labour of love to him. Large scale open warfare? Sign me up! Total annihilation was one my favourite rts games back then, and I look forward to this one. Looks like fun to be had, even though Company of Heroes has raised my personal bar pretty high.

Damn..someone get Chris a valium!

This looks way too boring to me. If the map is as large as he says, then no way is that playable.

Co-ordinated attacks with a few simple clicks, split screen views and the queing system just made RTS games around 1000 times easier for me.

Plus it has big stompy robots. Instant winner!

Wouldn't it be a lot worse if he wasn't excited about his own game?

That makes me want to play TA again.

Ah. I was just thinking how RTS games weren't complicated enough.

/me jests.

I'm actually looking forward to this one. The dude's obviously more about the gameplay + interface than most RTS developers.

Oh god, a new TA is soooooooooooooo overdue. All hail, the king of all RTS games is about to return.

First thing to mod: UI. They need to make it sleek and minimalistic, like TA running at 1280*1024.

What this game needs is cooperative multiplayer. Imagine you and a mate both managing the same army. Maybe one handling the strategic level and the builds, the other jumping from hotspot to hotspot to coordinate tight fights tactically...

Against 2 other 2-player-teams maybe. :)

I'm sure the system requirements to use the full set of UI features will be meaty but on the other hand i remember when TA came out (showing my age here!).

Like Eve Online it was a ridiculously gorgeous game even on low end systems (its not relevant to the current discussion but the music was another amazing factor as well!). I'm hoping the team has the same talent in squeezing every last drop of performance from this title.

Where is my copy of TA? I need to play again!
