Who did the music here? It's awful. Not in itself, but it just doesn't go well with the visuals at all.

I'm with Eraser, the music's terrible until the choir stops.

Not a patch in the Melee intro, but I'll reserve total judgement 'til I have the game in my grubby mitts, well, in my Wii, my hands can't play DVD-Roms.

I disagree with the anti-music sentiments here. I think it's wonderful. Perhaps it doesn't go too well with the graphical style, it's more suited to an epic RPG or something. But still, it's powerful and cool and makes me excited in my pants.

The title theme music is by Nobuo Uematsu...

Not only is that an awesome intro, it also provides two more pieces to the character roster jigsaw; not only is this the first truly clear sign that Ness is back, it also confirms the return of Fire Emblem's Marth (see him at about 1:30 and 1:45). Happy times. :D

Also, I'm actually quite amused to see the criticism for the music, given that it's by Final Fantasy/ Chrono Trigger's Nobuo Uematsu, probably the most geeked-over videogame composer there is. I will confess it took me a while to really get it, but since I've been hearing different versions of it in all the trailers for over a year now, I've really taken to it. It's a grower...

Hmm this makes me feel like playing a Final Fantasy game. Music doesn't really go with the childish visuals at all really, made me cringe actually.
