    omg this game is so hip and ironic like it has blocky graphics but all this violence for no apparent reason, it's a throwback to the 8 bit mario days meets hipster shit, like the story is about saving your girlfriend like in mario lol ironic, and the controls accelarate in some weird way and you get killed all the time and that's ironic,
    that is, blocky graphics + violence + ironic = you buy this game, and an ipad, and start moaning about legalizing pot, and then you become a liberal video game hipster with a geeky side = therefore you become a cool person.

    even more cool if you're also wearing a throwback ironic thundercats t shirt while you're at it. like, if tarantino were to play this game his prompt remark would be: omg blocky character gets blown to pieces! lol that's ironic like sticking your dick in a nintendo!

    I can't see what all the fuss about Super Meat Boy is.

    I'm obviously too old to play this because

    a) Like Cadence, my gaming reflexes have faded drastically..
    b) Its stripped-down gameplay seems to be rather like Jet Set Willy / Manic Miner, and I was I crap at those too, even back then.

    I don't think Miyamoto will lose any sleep over this.
