    A Jedi will always seek massive shoulderpads.
  • Mockerre #4 10 months ago

    It looks so static...

    I can't say i really like the art style :(

    Is it true that there's going to be no modding allowed with this game?
  • MasterNameless #7 10 months ago

    Are you normally allowed to mod MMO's? I can't seem to recall any previous examples - with exception to the general in-built character creation, which isn't modding anyway.

    @0.35 "I will act with calm and Calarity" **Slashes lightsaber at guy slicing him in two**

    Good to see the Jedi like to keep there promises.

    Um where is the gameplay all I see is edited game footage?
    Anyway even edited it looks sort of uninspired and boring with rather shit voice acting I might add.

    I know in World of Warcraft you can mod the interface and install ad-ons with added functionality to the interface as well.

    Ontopic.

    The shoulderpads are not as big as in WOW so obviously WOW is the better game.
    Seriously; that Jedi with shouldper pads seems to sum up this game nicely. A WOW clone with the new (crappy) Star Wars lore.

    And the animations are not done very well; seems they skipped on making enough frames. In game it will looks much worse even because the cinematic camera will be missing and you will looking at your characters behind the whole time.

    It's been said countless times but they should have just made KOTOR 3.
  • FortysixterUK #13 10 months ago

    I have to agree with some of the earlier comments.
    The art style looks like a cross between WOW and the Clone Wars animated series, and is not better for it AND movement does seem very static.
    Here's hoping it a smoother experience when played.

    The sheer amount of hate for this game staggers me.
  • MasterNameless #15 10 months ago

    @CaptainKid

    Ah, thank you! I was struggling to think of what he meant, but now I stand corrected. There is often, and many, custom GUI's available for most MMO's... of course! When the above poster mentioned mods, I just thought of the usual, common-garden, variety.

    I always completely forgot about them - despite people saying how great they are, I've never actually get around to installing them, even though I have no doubt they improve the game, and would have kicked myself if I had eventually got around to sorting one out for any of the MMO's I've played.

    "The sheer amount of hate for this game staggers me"

    I wouldn't say "hate" from me, more of an underwhelming feeling.

    I'd love to pin point when the over whelming of bile and vitriol started to be directed in ToRs direction? Is todays gamer really that bad?
  • Inmediasress #18 10 months ago

    @DeadlyByDesign
    I can most certainly say that Telboy007's answer is the one you are looking for.

    Well other than the bare fact that it is SW in WOW land.

    Havne't played an MMO for almost a year now (after playing WoW since launch I was kinda done with MMO's), but this makes me excited again. It seems the crafting system is a mix between SW Galaxies (which I loved before the CU) and WoW, so that seems like fun. I also like all the voice acting and focus on storytelling. Sure, I can't really see myself playing this 6 years like WoW (although, who knows) and the graphics and animations aren't really up to spec. But if I get about 100 hours of fun out of it, then I'm a happy gamer.

  • xuiton #22 10 months ago

    this looks stupid. I'm guessing they are just going to make up a bunch of random force powers that can heal and revive etc lol.
  • actionfitz #23 10 months ago

    Meh to the power of meh.
  • TheInvincibleCarmine #24 10 months ago

    @Scopeh
    Even in the star wars universe the tactic named "The Nick Clegg" has caught on.
