And, in this case, I'm actually fine with that. Good solid, well tested if over-used gameplay, nice graphics and good Bioware storyline. It's hardly setting the world on fire and leaping bare arsed into the future... but it'll play nice and will be fun. I'm sold.

In on the other hand can't wait; Until then, I'm am exploring the TOR lore, by reading Deceived and Fatal Alliance, together with the comics. Loving every minute of it BTW. Would recommend to all those who are both fans of KOTOR and are looking forward this.

I love Star Wars to bits but just have no interest in this title.

Tha fact is that it really is wow with light sabers. I see nothing new, same old tank&spank. Same old instances and as far as I can see from this and other trailers same old end game raid instances. When the novelty wears of it will be nothing more than a grind fest till you max out your char and go raiding every night to kill the arch sith lord whatever for a shiny new spaulders of destruction.
They can pounce about all they want with their voiced dialogue but that doesn't amount to a great experience you just can't have an epic story in an mmo at least not in a wowcopy based mmo.

I wonder what the use of Light-side points is when being a Sith, does anyone have a clue?

Stilted conversations - bad pauses between character lines, and meaningless arm waving.
Speeder bikes.. aren't they supposed to be FAST?? Also, what no physics? No gravity? All a bit jerky and unrealistic.
Fight! Hang on, those enemies are just standing there like bowling pins. Knock em down, yawn.
Whirlwind? What whirlwind? I've seen Twister mate - that ain't no whirlwind!
I'm thinking that sand looks a bit flat and unimpressive.
And I'm watching the sorceror's "golem" pet. He's not very...animate. C'Mon, that's just lazy.
Big fight in the caves - I really started to lose interest at this point, as I'm sure I was watching World of Warcraft characters wielding lightsabres and guns. That might be nice, except it doesn't look quite as good as Warcraft (i.e. a bit bland).
Maybe they should have hired Blur as creative directors.

Considering they're including a lot of original KotOR features, I would assume that this is the same.

At least the guys at mythic can show Bioware what to do when their mmo tanks after 3 months...

a STAR WARS game I would be waiting for.
The sorcerer class in STAR WARS ??????. Are there sorceresses and
magicians in the STAR WARS universe or I'm I missing something ?
Sending electro bolts and just holding like a stick the lightsaber
the most leathal weapon in the galaxy ???
Sorry but is this a fanatasy MMO or are we speaking about a STAR WARS game ?
I'm a bit confused and untill I get some answers totally disappointed.

did use it once to cut anything? might as well just be an, admittedly rather bitchin, harry potter wand...

Look at Rift, it's almost a direct copy, but has some unique systems that differentiates it. Bioware + Star Wars + familiarity = recipe for success.

@SClaw I just don't know if it's enough to really stand out in the MMO field...

Sure, that's what all mmos have done...but...with GW2 doing away with this...you'd think lifeless shit would be one thing that should be banned in game design, as a standard.
But of course it is Bioware...who are just wizard at sucking the soul out of immersion experiences recently.
I'm more freaked out the character is being referred to as 'my lord' and HE is the one going out on something that seems like a routine job for a peon. Of course I never got that in bog standard rpg mentalities.
And as critical as I am; I think I would prefer a life-sub option. That'll give me the time indeed.
