Really like the idea, but I really, really dislike the graphical style :/

Thats odd because I love the graphical style.

I liked the style in the first video of Wright when he showed this in a conference.

I really like the idea of this game but i think its trying to do to much. I think the game play changes to much over the course of the game. To start with it looks like that game where you eat all the small fish till you get bigger, then its a 3rd person something or other, then an rts? then space? which to me looks like a dead ender.

    Edit: I cant type

Great idea but for some reason this game reminds me of Giants: Citizen Kabuto. Anybody remember that game? Great idea, just tried to do too much and failed.

Same here - it's more an absence of any style than a style.

To be honest I don't really think that it's fair to abuse a games style, when it's solely user generated content...But I know what you guys mean about the style (you'd have thought that they would get some famous artists in or something to do content for a trailer....You know to actually sell the game)

Mostly I think that its the way we were juiced up about a year and a half ago and then left to dangle....No one likes a juicy dangler, well that and the fact that the graphics of a year and a half ago just don't look anywhere near as inviting as they did....Oh lets say, a year and a half ago. I really hope that the video shown was for some reason set on a low setting, I really want to have a go with this game.....But it could be one to play in short bursts...I might wait for a pre-owned version seeing everyones general views on this game, though presumeably a game that relies on user's actually logging into an online server to play might need to be a game that one buys new only...Though i realise what value opinion has on the internet....Especially the opinion of a PS3 owner...

My definition of user-generated content would be a little different, but anyway just look at Little Big Planet. Games that depend on users don't need to have the most generic cartoon look imaginable.

I actually like this version more than the one in the first video shown. it has more polish and making your own buildings and tanks should be fun!

This will be a pretty sofisticated toy.

bah! naysayers! i will create earth and then destroy it! i will blow up alderan even though they have no weapons! i will send ripley back to lv426! i will send charlton heston to a planet filled with sentient apes! i will go boldly (:p) where everyone else has gone before! but this time there will be more robots.

Interesting idea but the graphical style is a little unappealing to me.

I'm still really looking forward to this game, but yeah the graphical style has changed since the early footage. It looks more Playschool now. Oh well, with any luck I can stilll contruct a xenomorph :)

Not convinced really. Each stage looks a little too shallow, and unless there is some real continuity holding the different stages together, then i don't see it working.

This has potential to be something amazing, taking the like of civilisation to a logical conclustion. Building up from a single organisum could mean you find yourself somewhat attached to your creatures by the time they become civilised.
It going to demend on if they can strike the correct balance between depth and it not taking too long to move onto the next stage of the game
