Spider-Man: Web of Shadows - Teaser

This new Spider-Man game looks set to be a far grittier affair than previous offerings, but it needs to do a lot to reclaim any sense of respectability for a franchise which has suffered more than most at the hands of poor efforts previously.

    So New York is decimated by space spunk, only one person can save the day, spiderham. No Fantastic Four, Hulk, Avengers etc... as per usual the games forget the universe.

    This game will be rubbish. Treyarch cannot make a good Spider-man game, I've lost all faith in them.

    Spider-man 2 was the pinnacle of what they can do, and even that was merely "alright", and nothing special.

    Totally agree with you about them forgetting the marvel universe and simply making crap up as they go along. How the heck would spiderman stop that thing. More importantly how the heck did no-one notice it growing in the middle of the city.

    If it's the symbiote, then he'd build a sonic cannon and shoot the blasted thing job done. Of course that would make the game about 10 minutes long at best.

    Whatever; after the last couple of increasingly poor Spider-Man games no-one really gives a fuck any more, Activision.

    Give the licence back to Neversoft and see what they can do with it.

    At least it isn't based on a film. That bodes well. It is certainly possible to make a good spider-man game, of that I'm sure. It this is it remains to be seen. Put me in the "Interested, but sceptical" camp.

    hmmm looks nice, but I remember Spidey being bright and colorful cartoon, the last films have been really downbeat.

    saying thatI haven't played I spidey game since the one on PS1, so I can't comment.

    Anyone have any idea what all that black crap is yet? It looks sort of symbiote-ish. And there's webs everywhere... Some kind of Venom Clone Invasion or something?

    i already dont like it, spiderman is a great character, a hero, from what it looks like they are turning him into a badass twat thats loosing his mind and that dark dingy atmosphere just ssays anti-hero to me, i wont buy this because echoing what ecureuil said about the only half decent sm game treyarch made being sm 2, after that it was arse so sorry treyarch but i also have lost faith.
