Soul Calibur IV - Trailer

7 (3 ratings)

We're very excited about Soul Calibur IV, what with all the shiny sharps and non-objectification of women. Who could pass up on the chance to pretend to be a girl in a mini-skirt, then beat up Darth Vader? Sexy and gratifying.

No online? Surely you're confusing SC4 with the original coming to XBLA?

This looks excellent! I just hope they've not messed with any of my preferred characters; Sophitia and Astaroth FTW!

Oh, and does anyone know who's voicing Vader in this game? Only I've been all excited ever since I found out that Matt Sloan, aka YouTube's "Chad Vader: Day Shift Manager", will be playing Darth in The Force Unleashed...I would love him to be in this too. :D

I must say, Vader's force choke/stab combo is the coolest finishing move in a fighting game ever.

these games are fing beautiful I just hope it is balanced, previous version have been either too easy or too short. I want too be able to fight hundreds like in kill bill.

knightmt: I'm not sure I follow...how can a multiplayer-based one-on-one fighting game be "too short", or allow you to "fight hundreds like in Kill Bill"?

Are you sure you're thinking of the right game here?

If the voice-acting in this game is not excellent (excellence being "House of the Dead 3"), disappointment befall me will.

Great trailer, I'm still not feeling the Yoda/Vader thing, though - just seems so out of context. I think I'm on my own, though.

I've decided that Soul Calibur IV is actually set on a medieval planet in the Dagobah system, which explains why Yoda/Vader are there. :-)

Welcome - to the stage of SELLOUT!

Way too much focus on Star Wars cash-in, too little on Ivy's huge mammaries. U FIX!

You're not alone, it does seem really odd and out of place that Vader and Yoda are in Calibur and to be honest I don't really feel they should be in it. But if they get awesome moves and one-more-time playability, then I don't see why I shouldn't welcome them with open arms though...
